Abstract

In Kabylie “art of association” is an expression of territoriality. In the village, territorial and political
unit that unites citizens, horizontal links unite the people who adhere to the same system of representation and are proud of their identity. Still Today, it is the persistence of an ancestral social organization (tajmaat, the village assembly) through village committees, underlied by a number of
values, which sometimes allows to the local populations overcome their difficulties. Using the analytical framework of the School of Bloomington we study the village as a common pool resources
institution using the bundle approach of property rights.
