Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) systems are increasingly used in healthcare. The aim of this contribution is to shed light on the impact that cybersecurity requirements, as set out in the future European regulation on AI (AI Act), will have on the use of AI systems in healthcare. The first part presents the procedure for classifying high-risk AI systems. The second part highlights the link between the AI Act and the European cybersecurity legislative framework. Indeed, the cornerstone of the cybersecurity of AI systems in healthcare will be the establishment of a European certification system, based on the development of standards in line with European values and international standards.
