Abstract

In 2016, the law on the modernization of our healthcare system incorporated the prescription of adapted physical activity into French health legislation. Initially limited to patients suffering from a long-term condition, this measure was recently extended to other categories of patients. Although scientific studies are unambiguous about the benefits of such a measure, its regulatory complexity and lack of funding are obstacles to a measure that would nevertheless contribute to making health law more preventive than therapeutic.
