INFORMATION GOVERNANCE, INSEPARABLE FROM ARCHIVAL SCIENCE FEEDBACK FROM THE VAUD CANTONAL ARCHIVES (1996-2019)
Keywords:
public office, crisis, information management, records/archives, information systemAbstract
Based on an example of the management of an Archives, the article shows how archival matters have imposed themselves on the governance of information systems, the only path initially chosen by the authorities of the Canton of Vaud. The dialogue between the institutional, professional and informational conjunctures, in a period of financial difficulties and rapid evolution of the archivist’s profession and new technologies, brings together their interdependence and their interaction. At the same time, concepts are slowly maturing, with information governance emerging as early as 2010, with the added value of the records/archives being recognized later
