Abstract

For some years now, the hospital sector, whether public or private, has been searching for meaning in the wake of major upheavals and crises. Organizational identity is an important factor in the construction of meaning at work. We are studying the mutual co-construction of organizational and territorial identities within the framework of a “Groupement hospitalier de territoire”. Our research shows the complex dynamics of the construction and deconstruction of socio-cultural barriers and distances between organizational identities via socio-geographical movements.
